On the local level, the Benton-Tippah Baptist Association is staged for Chainsaw Disaster Relief request. We have both men and women professionally trained for Chainsaw Disaster Relief. We have a fully equipped Chainsaw Disaster Relief Unit capable of supporting our certified volunteers with the tools that they need to carry out the task. Thanks to the Men's Ministries in our association we have this equipment. Other much needed equipment will be added as soon as the finances come available. All that our association does is done free of charge. There are no strings attached to this ministry. We go in the name of Jesus Christ.
Activation
In the Benton-Tippah Baptist Association the Association Missions Director activates the Chainsaw Disaster Relief Team whether it be locally, in the state, or out of state. Upon request from the Mississippi Disaster Relief Coordinators, Mr. Don Gann or Mr. John Henry, the BTBA Association Missions Director will make contact with the local volunteers.
Remember
Tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes do not get on your calendar nor check with your schedule. Therefore our men and women must be prepared for anytime. The BTBA is most thankful to have men and women that are willing to drop what they are doing and volunteer to go help for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Training
Usually once a year a training is scheduled after being coordinated through the Men's Ministry Disaster Relief with the Mississippi Baptist Convention. Volunteers are always needed.
